New survey: Majority doesn’t belief Biden on COVID

Posted on

As President Joe Biden’s approval rating continues to decline, a new poll shows what could be his biggest problem yet.

A new Axios / Ipsos poll released Tuesday shows that a majority of Americans don’t trust Biden and his government in fighting COVID-19.

Of those surveyed, 53% said they “did not trust very much” or “did not trust at all” that Biden would provide accurate information about the pandemic. 45% said they trust Biden “a lot” or “a reasonable amount”.

As expected, the polls are also broken down according to parties. Of those polled, 81% of Democrats trust Biden, only 11% of Republicans and 42% of Independents.

Overall, the trend is down. In January, 58% trusted Biden regarding COVID.

“Whatever is done now, it would be the opposite”

True words may never have been said. Those words came from Chris Jennings, the former White House health policy advisor who also served on the Biden Health Care Unity Task Force just days after the 2020 elections.

Speaking about how Biden would deal with the pandemic, he said, “There will be a much closer working relationship with state and local governments. He will strengthen the agencies, not undermine and discredit them – but he will also hold them responsible for the results. “

In the fall of 2020, then-candidate Joe Biden stumbled at a drive-in rally in Iowa and stated, “Unlike Donald Trump, we will not surrender to this virus. I will come up with a plan to deal with this pandemic. “

He added, “I’m not going to shut down the economy,” Biden said on Friday. “I will turn off the virus.”

Biden approval numbers are falling

Could it be that Americans are starting to have buyer’s remorse? A report from The Daily Caller shows the numbers back it up. A Gallup poll last week said Biden’s approval rating has dropped to just 43%.

His biggest loss is with independents. The president with this group has fallen from 61% in January to 37%.

A Fox News report seems to put it best: Joe Biden “drowns” in crisis.

But the myriads of crises seem to be Biden’s own fault. Americans witnessed the catastrophic withdrawal of American troops in Afghanistan and the Taliban’s takeover of the country, a botched operation that killed 13 American soldiers in a terrorist attack.

The crisis on the US southern border continues. Not only do thousands from Mexico and Central America continue to flock to the country, but Haitians and others from around the world as well.

With the economy on shaky ground, the Democrats want to pass the largest spending and entitlement bill in American history. Republicans warn of rising inflation.

A promise to unite

In his inaugural address, Joe Biden promised to unite the American people. That too is in question. A recent poll by Fox News says Americans are not feeling the union. Of those surveyed, 54% think America is less united under Joe Biden, 37% say it is more united.

Even the ever-reliable media has a hard time cheerleading Joe Biden. Recently, NBC’s Chuck Todd had to admit, “Well, I think he’s got a pretty big credibility crisis on his hands because all of these issues, in a sense, came up after basically saying the exact opposite.”

Todd continued, “And of course the limit. We can talk about the border problems, you could say it takes years, but it’s pretty clear that we have a bigger problem now than we have in years, and that policy has made it a magnet. ”

Falling job admission numbers for Joe Biden bode poorly for the Democrats in 2022. According to a recent Civiqs poll, Biden will be underwater by ten or more percentage points in six battlefield countries in 2020.
