The massive spending bill, supported by President Joe Biden and the Democratic leadership in Congress, shows how radical their party has become and the farce behind billing the Biden presidency as a “moderate” alternative to the extreme left.
The $ 3.5 trillion spending measure was billed to boost healthcare and repair or build more infrastructure, as well as provide an extra patch to an economy hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic.
With this expenditure calculation, however, it is not only the pure costs of the matter that are the problem. That $ 3.5 trillion cost is a significant problem given the weight of our national debt – which has skyrocketed recently – and the growing impact of inflation.

It seems that for leading Democrats, the mentality regarding such concerns is “damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead!”
The cost of accounting for the American people will be substantial, especially considering our federal government did not save for a rainy day. We’ve gone from spending like drunk sailors in normal times to pulling the last drops of blood from drunk sailors who passed out on the streets during a pandemic.
Is that really sustainable?
The problem of spending alone is deeply worrying. What makes this bill worse is that it is crammed with all kinds of direct giveaways for democratic groups, as well as guidelines that would not go through stand-alone laws.

In many ways, this seems like the Democrats’ strategy in the Biden era: moderate-sounding legislation that shrouds a radical agenda to change the American way of life.
Do you remember the harmless-sounding Democrats’ For the People Act?
That would have changed and nationalized the American elections in a way that would be most accessible to the most progressive part of the Democratic Party.
Do you remember the Equal Opportunities Act?
This law would have imposed the transgender ideology on the whole country.
The current bill is clearly not just about health care and infrastructure, but about radical economic and social change.
The bill is full of bribes of all kinds for public sector unions. No surprise there.
“The work not only supports them everywhere, it has also helped shape it,” said Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers, in an interview with Politico about the expenditure calculation.
This is the same Randi Weingarten who insisted that public schools do not promote critical racial theory but then immediately reversed course and said their teachers union would do anything to protect teachers who taught critical racial theory against state laws.

The bill even has a giveaway for journalists: a tax credit that would pay local publishers tens of thousands of dollars for each journalist they hire. This is justified as a way to save local news outlets, but it seems more of a perverse incentive to make the press universal sanctuaries of the state.
As Adam Guillette, president of Accuracy in Media, wrote in The Daily Signal, “Think of it as a way to turn any news agency in America into a version of NPR.”
As if we need that.
In a broader sense, the Democrats’ spending bill is evidence of where their party is right now. Perhaps the most egregious element, on top of everything else, is how they have tried to enforce the amnesty for illegal immigrants.
During a historic spike on the southern border, which even Biden’s Homeland Security Minister Alejandro Mayorkas described as “one of the greatest challenges we face,” the Democrats are apparently keen to ensure that more people cross the border illegally.
An earlier version of the Spending Act would have granted 8 million illegal immigrants an amnesty, the largest amnesty in American history.

“This Russian nesting doll approach may be a smart legislative strategy, but it is a terrible democratic accountability,” wrote the editors of the National Review. “There is no way that this immigration proposal would pass if it were a stand-alone measure subject to normal scrutiny and debate.”
This provision was repealed not because the Democrats resisted its extreme form, but because the Senate MP said it violated the Chamber’s Byrd rule.
The Senate MP may have stopped this secret amnesty, but the fact that the Democrats have tried to fit it into a massive spending bill shows the falsehood of prominent Democrats’ rhetoric that they are not in favor of open borders.
The bottom line is that the cost of that expense calculation would exceed the $ 3.5 trillion price tag. There’s a reason the few remaining center Democrats are reluctant and Republicans are in lockstep.
Biden’s campaign slogan “Build Back Better” apparently really meant that we would collapse faster and recreate America on the rubble.
